Its main goal is to exchange ideas, best practices and debate issues with intergovernmental agencies and organizations, and strive to be a catalyst for the establishment of better economic, social and cultural cooperation between the United States of America and Tanzania. DICOTA will engage in economic, social and cultural projects and/ or activities that are of mutual benefit to both countries

: The President of Zanzibar is the head of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, which is a semi-autonomous government within Tanzania. The current President is Ali Mohamed Shein. The President is also the chairman of the Revolutionary Council, whose members are appointed by the President, and some of which must be selected from the House of Representatives of Zanzibar. In particular, he appoints the Chief Minister, who is responsible for running the daily functions of the government
→ Zanzibar Association of Tourism Investors (ZATI)
: The Zanzibar Association of Tourism Investors (ZATI) is non-governmental, non-religious, and non-political organization. The Tourism industry is, at present, the most important sector of the Zanzibar economy in terms of foreign exchange earnings, and has many direct and indirect economic linkages throughout Zanzibar society. This association has been established to represent the interests of all tourism investors in Zanzibar. The aim is to ensure a sustainable and professional tourism industry of the highest standard, working with government institution to achieve this. ZATI is at the forefront of the Private / Public Sector Partnership and works in a dialogue with the Zanzibar Government to advocate on tourism issues and undertake destination marketing.
